nightqueen siamese

siamese and oriental cats in East Yorkshire

We can now confirm our kittens are PRA negative.

Progressive Retinal Atrophy is a genetic condtion that causes loss of sight and blindness in affected cats, it is a recessive gene and has to be inherited from both mother and father to cause the condition in later life in the offspring. Due to recent highlighting of the number of carriers of this gene in the Siamese and Oriental gene pools we have carried out testing on our girls and boys to be able to determine without doubt whether out kittens are at any risk from this gene. We are pleased to confirm that this testing has enabled us to be able to confirm that our kittens will not suffer from this genetic condition in later life and are happy to show new owners our test results to confirm this.

About Nightqueen siamese

Nightqueen Siamese are based in Hull, East Yorkshire. I have been owned by Siamese for over twenty years and my love affair with the breed started from very humble roots and with a beautiful Seal Point girl Adinam Midnight Mimosa 'Truffles' who lived to the grand old age of 17 years and ruled the roost until the day she left us, she was survived by her daughter and grand daughter and these girls were the foundation of my breeding under my GCCF prefix Nightqueen. With my girls entering old age I opted to enjoy their later years without the excitement of kittens underfoot.

2011 saw the birth of the first Nightqueen kittens for over a decade and a special delight for me was the arrival of Nightqueen Hypnotic, a lovely Lilac Point girl who has stayed with us and who will figure strongly in future plans. Hippie now has a Lilac Point daughter Fontaine and in February 2014 Fontaine's first litter were born...another generation! Nightqueen Paradise and Nightqueen Mantra remain at home with Great Grandma, Grandma and Mum!

Our ethos is to breed healthy, loving kittens that bring pleasure to their new owners in loving permanant homes. All of our kittens are completly home raised and used to everyday family life, children and hustle and bustle to ensure they are well socialised and adjusted. We are a cat flu free home and all kittens leave us fully vaccinated, vet checked, insured and with a full 5 generation certifed pedigree and kitten pack. We register with the GCCF. Our kittens are PRA negative. From August 2014 we have taken the decision to incorporate neutering and spaying into our kitten protocols meaning Nightqueen kittens can now arrive in their new homes at 13 weeks onwards already neutered.

During 2013 we were hoping to see more Fawns, Fawn Points and more Tabby Point Siamese! Fawn Points remained elusive until February this year when we had two little girls born in Fontaine and Roulette's litter. We have now been blessed with a beautiful litter of kittens from Keisha which has 3 lovely little Fawn boys in it.

Our plans for the remainder of 2014 and 2015 include more Fawn Point Siamese arriving...hopefully!...and we also hope to see Fawn Tabby Point and Cinnamon Tabby Point kittens soon, fingers crossed.

Some of the Highlights of 2014....

Nightqueen Mantra, Lilac Point boy and Nightqueen Paradise, Fawn Point girl arrive on the 19th February.

Nightqueen Hypnotic has 9 babies on the 12th March, 8 boys and one tiny girl - all grow up to be fab kittens but nine is a real handful for Mum and some help needed!
